Dry Tortugas

Key West

Seventy miles off of Key West the Dry Tortugas is the site of Fort Jefferson built with 16 million bricks in the 1840’s and surrounded by breathtaking coral reefs just off the beach.

You can get to the Dry Tortugas on a 2 hour cruise aboard the Yankee Freedoom II.

Fort Caroline

Fort Caroline is a 16th century fort on the southern banks of the St Johns River in Jacksonville. The fort was built by the French in the 1560s in an attempt to claim their part of the new world.

Devils Millhopper State Park

Gainesville

Devils Millhopper State Park is truly one of the most unique attractions to visit while in Gainesville, FL.  The sinkhole is over 120 feet deep and has an extensive bridge and step system that allows the visitor to truly experience what it is like to be in a rainforest. 

Dudley Farm State Park, Newberry

The Dudley Farm is a great way to spend the day outdoors in Newberry (just outside Gainesville). The farm was an authentic working farm from about 1880 to 1930 where syrup is still produced from sugar cane.
