Florida is the fishing capital of the world with 1,350 miles of shoreline, 663 miles of beach, over 11,000 miles of rivers, streams and waterways and 4,300 square miles of water.

When you go fishing in Florida you can choose from Saltwater Fishing either offshore or inshore, or freshwater in the many lakes and rivers in Florida. 

Regardless of where you fish you will probably need a Florida fishing license. There are a few exceptions such as fishing with a cane pole in your county of residence, and youths under 16 and seniors over 65.
