Florida has several large universities including The University of Florida in Gainesville (UF), Florida State University in Tallahassee and The University of Central Florida in Orlando. These state universities offer a wide variety degrees and programs including Medical Schools, Law Schools, Businesses Schools and many others.

There are also smaller universities in Florida including Flagler College in St Augustine and Rollins College in Winter Park.

Florida residents are granted in state tuition in state schools and the state offers a prepaid tuition program that locks in the price of tuition. These programs and the fact that many parents are alumni of Florida colleges results in many Florida teens attending Florida colleges.
