The Jacksonville Jazz Festival kicks off on Thursday, May 24 with a Piano Competition at the Florida Theatre, and runs throughout the weekend with fabulous entertainment on five different stages. Brian Culbertson will be headlining the Friday performances , along with greats like Sonny Rollins, and Karrin Allyson. Many other talented jazz musicians will be filling out the 3-day lineup. To further the entertainment options, there will also be a juried art show and sale, Art in the Heart of Downtown, and a tasting event, The Wine Down/Brew Town Tasting Experience.

The Underwater Music Festival is back in session for it’s 28th year. The zanniness that this event creates is well known and draws several hundred divers and snorkelers to the party. Marine-themed music, some created by local artists, is piped through the water by Keys radio station, US1 Radio 104.1 FM, along with information about reef and ocean preservation.
