The Florida Strawberry Festival has taken place since the 1930’s in Plant City Florida. This festival is considered one of the top 30 festivals in North America and brings top musicians from around the country for its concerts. The 2012 Florida Strawberry Festival runs March 1 through 11 in Plant City, Florida.

There will be a Queen’s Pageant and also a Baby Contest. Free entertainment for the whole family, and headline concerts take place at the Strawberry Festival. The Midway will be in full swing with great rides, food and games. The Hillsborough County elementary students will be displaying their shoebox floats, and a photography contest.
This is a family oriented event featuring arts, crafts, horticulture, livestock, agriculture, fine arts, rides, entertainment, food and of course, strawberries! More than 60 carnival rides, free entertainment, concerts by top artists, parades, contests and non-stop fun fill this annual event.
The Strawberry Festival has daily performers in tents and arenas around the festival. The 2012 lineup will be announced soon.
The concerts take place at 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm daily. Some of the top performers in the past were Darius Rucker, Sara Evans, Julianne Hough, Tracy Lawrence, Smothers Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and many other great bands.
The 2012 Senior Citizens’ Days will be announced soon, 2011 highlights included The Jimmy Sturr Orchestra and the Guy Lombardo Orchestra .
Come see the best of quilts, scrapbooking, porcelain dolls, baking, cake decorating, food preservation, knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, and many other award winning home made and hand crafted items made by residents in Florida. The Neighborhood Village is located in the Armory Building, just East of Lost and Found.
