Roller coaster at the Central Florida Fair
The 2011 Central Florida Fair takes place February 25- March 7. Started in 1910, the Central Florida Fair averages 250,000 in attendance. The fair is located on 87 acres near downtown Orlando and will give out $200,000 in prize money for various competitions.
Rides, Exhibits, and Entertainment
There are more than 100 rides from stomach dropping thrillers for the adrenaline seekers to Kiddie Land for the youngest riders. Other exhibits and contests at the Central Florida Fair include:
Creative Arts – with nearly 3,000 handmade items in over 200 categories, including Fine Arts, Needlework, and Crafts and Hobbies.
Food Arts and Sciences – a feast of baked goods, canned fruits, decorated cakes, and decorative touches for the home, plus dozens of daily chef demonstrations on a state-of-the-art kitchen stage.
Horticulture – lush displays of flowers and foliage, plus information on gardening, water conservation, landscaping, and more.
FFA – local middle and high school chapters present educational booths on landscaping, animal husbandry, veterinary care, and more.
4-H – this leadership-building organization presents a year’s worth of youth activities in informative booths and creative contests.
Livestock – featuring over 2,000 cows, horses, sheep, hogs, goats, chickens, and rabbits.
Entertainment – over 100 groups featuring 800 singers, dancers and musicians on three stages.

Central Florida Fair Livestock
The Central Florida Fair has been celebrating the agricultural heritage of Florida for nearly 100 years. More than 2,600 entries annually, the Central Florida Fair presents one of the largest livestock shows in the Florida region. In 2006, a horse show was introduced.
Talent Show
Calling on residents of Central Florida for their talent as a singer, musician, dancer, magician, juggler or any talent you may have. To enter the contest, you must not be a professional (never paid to perform.) You also must be a resident of Orange, Seminole, Volusia, Osceola, Lake, or Brevard counties.
Pet Star Talent Show
Come watch the Pet talent show featuring dogs, cats, and birds. There will be contests for Best Trick, Best Costume, Pet Look Alike, and Most Obedient. There will be a cash prize of $500. If interested in entering your pet, call 407-295-3247.
