The Arnold Palmer Invitational golf tournament is held at the Bay Hill Club and Lodge, a private resort in Orlando, Florida. It will take place March 22 through the 28, 2010 with a $6,000,000 purse. The course has been updated for 2010.
2009 Top Golfers
2009 Highlights-Ryo Ishikawa, a 17 year old Japanese star, has accepted a personal invitation from Arnold Palmer to participate in the 2009 tournament. At Palmer’s request, Commissioner Tim Finchem designated Ishikawa to receive one of the two exemptions reserved for foreign players in the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Ishikawa made history in 2007 as a 15 year-old high school freshman from Tokyo by becoming the youngest champion ever on one of the world’s major golf tours, winning the Munsingwear Open KSB Cup on the Japan Tour. He became a professional last year. Tiger Woods is the defending champion.
