Ybor City

Ybor City is a historic section of Tampa that has many brick buildings built in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Known as the Latin Quarter of Tampa, Ybor City has many latin restaurants including Spanish, Cuban, Italian, Greek, and French.

The relocation of a cigar factory from Key West to Ybor City in 1886 was the catalyst to bring many other cigar makers, making Ybor City the cigar capital of the world for many years. This brought immigrants to work in the factories, open stores, and provide services.
