Like many colleges the University of Florida is cracking down on underage drinking. The school has a policy that if you are under 21 and caught drinking a letter will be sent home to your parents.
Many universities are coming up with creative ways to curb underage drinking. The latest approach of sending home letters to parent is having some success.
In the first three months of the program at UF, the universities student behavior committee has sent out 185 letters. Of those, 100 of the families have followed up with the
University to indicate their support.
