There is seating for 4,300 in the grandstand area of Tampa Bay Downs and the clubhouse has 1,700 seats. There is also a picnic pavilion area.
Admission and Parking
There is a 5,000 car parking area directly across the street from Tampa Bay Downs. Gates open at 11:00 AM and the first race starts at 12:25 P.M.
Grandstand admission is $2 for weekend racing, $3 for the clubhouse and parking is free. Valet parking is available for $5. On live race weekdays grandstand admission is free.
Restaurants at Tampa Bay Downs
There are several good choices for food at Tampa Bay Downs including concession stands, the Trackside Deli, and the Silks Bistro on the Third Floor. The Sky Terrace Room has a gourmet chef and has a panoramic view of the track.
Free wireless access is available to all visitors and you are welcome to bring a laptop so you can do a little work while enjoying the races.

Racing season at Tampa Bay Downs opens in December and continues through May.
Tampa Bay Derby Festival
In March the Tampa Bay Derby Festival is the biggest day of racing at Tampa Bay Downs. There is over $575,000 in prize money awarded in 4 big races.
Festival Preview Day
Festival Preview Day is a premier racing day for horses shooting for the triple crown. Held in February, there is the Grade III $225,000 Sam F. Davis Stakes for 3 year olds. Other races include the Grade III $125,000 Endeavour Stakes on the Turf for Fillies and Mares, and the $125,000 Florida Oaks on the turf.
Simulcasting
Tampa Bay Downs has simulcasting all year of both most major race tracks, harness racing, and greyhound racing. They also cover Jai Alai.
