Summer sports camps typically have a higher level of instruction by professional coaches and experts in the field. Kids get more individual lessons and drills to improve their skills. No matter what sport your child plays there is probably a camp for them.

Surf Camps

if your child loves the beach then surf lessons is a great summer camp.  Many of the camps supply surf boards for campers. 

The Florida Surf School promotes safe surf lessons in a fun environment with professionals.  Newsweek Magazine called this school one of the best in the world. The instructors are American Red Cross CPR Certified Surf Instructors.  The school offers summer camps, Saturday lessons, group lessons, and private lessons.  Call 888-672-4887 to set up surf lessons.

All camps and lessons supply surf boards for their students. Summer camps are from 9:30am to 2:30pm

Florida Surf School offers lessons up and down the Atlantic coast in Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Cocoa Beach, Dania Beach, Deerfield Beach, Delray Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Pierce, Hollywood Beach, Jensen Beach, Jupiter, Melbourne, Miami Beach, Palm Beach, and Sebastian.

Basketball Camps

Improving the game of basketball takes time with drills and practice.  A basketball summer camp is great in Florida because its indoors.  There’s all levels of basketball camps in Florida held at universities, NBA arenas, YMCA, and local parks and recreation departments. 

Orlando Magic and Miami Heat

Orlando Magic basketball camp and Miami Heat basketball camp are popular because the players get a chance to meet a NBA player.  These camps are professionally run, offer day camps, and overnight camps.

Orlando Magic basketball camps are offered throughout central Florida.  Miami Heat basketball camps are offered in Miami Dade and Broward counties.

Nike Sports Camps

Nike Offers basketball camps in Panama City Florida, Altamonte Springs Florida, and Deland Florida.

Disney Basketball Camp

Disney World Sports Complex – for ages 5 to 16, the week long basketball camp is held at Disney’s sports complex.  The package includes 5 to 1 camper-staff ratio, staying at a Disney World hotel (Animal Kingdom Lodge or All Start Sports Resort), 3 day park hopper pass, and an end of week party at Typhoon Lagoon.

University of Florida Basketball Camp

The University of Florida summer basketball camps are offered for ages 8 to 18.  Age 8 to 9 are day camps and ages 10 to 18 have day camp or overnight camp available. Boy basketball camps and girl basketball camps are both available at UF in Gainesville.

Baseball Summer Camps

Baseball Summer Camps – youth baseball camps offer drills on hitting, pitching, catching, and throwing.  Campers are divided into groups by age and skill level. 

Parks and Recreation Department – around the state of Florida you’ll find the parks and recreations departments offer affordable summer camps for kids.  Many times they team up with a local professionals.

Mike Martin Baseball Camp

Mike Martin Baseball Camp is held in Tallahassee Florida for ages 6 to 10, the Leon County Parks and Recreation department host this week long camp.

Football Summer Camps

Summer is great way to build up stamina for young football players.  Through drills, work outs, and scrimmage games, football camps condition players with football techniques to improve their game.

Reggie Nelson Football Camp

Held at Jacksonville University and hosted by the Jacksonville Jaguar’s safety, Reggie Nelson, this football day camp will improve your child’s football skills through drills.

Alex Smith Football Camp

Hosted by Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end, Alex Smith, this youth football camp is held at Warner Southern College in Lake Wales.

David Leadbetter Golf Academy

The David Leadbetter Golf Academy is for ages 8 to 18, the golf academy and year round programs are located in Brandenton Florda.  Young golfers will improve skills on their swings, mental, and physical conditioning.

Tennis Summer Camps
