Great Pizza in Gainesville

The pizza at Satchels comes two ways: either regular crust or deep dish. There are several fresh ingredients to choose from like: basil, spicy sausage, green peppers, roasted red peppers, ricotta cheese, pepperoni, meat balls, tempeh, pineapple, spinach and lots more.

According to Satchel and his staff the key ingredient is “Love”. Satchel also says “every pizza is a work of art”. My personal favorite is a regular crust pie with roasted red peppers, ricotta, and fresh basil. Of course I always order a large pie. There is nothing better than left over Satchel’s the next day.

Satchel’s Salad

Considered by many to be the best salad in Gainesville. The Satchel Salad has red and green leaf lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, granny smith apples wedges and a hint of red onion.

This salad is tossed in a secret house vinaigrette and topped with Romano cheese, tomatoes, almonds, sunflower seeds and a walnut for good luck. The small serves 2-4 people and costs $6.25.

Lightning Salvage is just one more unique thing about Satchel’s. It is located behind the restaurant and has many unique throw back toys and gadgets for sale. The kids really enjoy the store along with the playground out back.
