In the 2007 - 2008 school year Rollins College had about 2,400 full time students and 278 graduate students. Every year Rollins College receives more than 3,200 openings for 475 openings in the first year (freshman) class and 55 openings in the transfer class.

Sports at Rollins College

The nickname for Rollins College Sports is “Tars”. A Tar is a sailor and the nickname originated during WWI when there was a Navy vessel on Lake Virigina. Rollins College sits on Lake Virginia, which makes sailing and water skiiing two sports that are a perfect fit. Today Rollins College is an NCAA Division II school in the Sunshine State Conference with the following sports.
