Whenever the Inside Florida team visits Jacksonville we head out to Mayport for dinner at Singletons Seafood Shack. Yes it is a shack but inside is fresh perfectly prepared shrimp, grouper, oysters, crab, and many other seafood choices.

As you drive through Mayport you see a fleet of fishing boats. And right at Singletons there are several fishing boats docked. Right next to Singletons is the St. Johns River Ferry, which runs from Mayport to Fort George Island.

Right next to the Jacksonville Marina there is a public boat ramp with parking for your truck and trailer. The ramp is operated by the City of Jacksonville and is named the Michael B. Scanlan Boat Ramp.
Getting to Mayport
To drive to Mayport take McCormick Road east, it will change into Mt Pleasant Road, which will change into Wonderwood Drive. Wonderwood will take you to A1A / Ocean Street where you take a left (heading north) into Mayport.
