Boot Key Harbor in Marathon has a large mooring field
Primarily a mooring area for sailboats, Boot Key Harbor Marina has about 225 mooring buoys and is home to many seasonal visitors and some permanent live aboards.

Getting to the Marathon Marina by Car
To get the marina by car take US1 to Marathon and turn east at the sign that says “City of Marathon Municipal park and Book Key Marina”. Follow the road to the end and bare right.
Getting the Marina by Boat
There are two approaches to Boot Key Marina. The main entrance is from the west and has a controlling depth of 6 feet (mean low water).

Sister Creek runs from the Atlantic Ocean into Boot Key Harbor. This smaller channel has a depth of 4.2 feet (mean low water). This inlet is typically used by smaller boats with a shallow draft.

The mooring area at Boot Key Harbor, Marathon Florida
More than 300 boats can be seen in the Boot Key Harbor Marina tied up to moorings, anchored, or docked. The majority of boats are sail boats but there are power boats as well. There is a large dingy docking area where boats can keep their dingy while moored at Boot Key Harbor.
Boot Key Harbor has a long dock that is available on a first come first serve basis. It is commonly full.
Boot Harbor has bathrooms, showers, pump out, laundry facilities and will dispose of your garbage and recycling.
Boat Ramp in Marathon
There is no boat ramp or fuel dock at boot key harbor. The closest boat ramp is at harbor Point Marine. Harbor Point Marine also offers boat rentals on daily and weekly basis and they both inshore and off shore boats.
