Try to find a hotel in Marathon that matches up with your plans. If you are bringing a boat there are hotels that have a marina. If you want to go snorkeling then look for a hotel that has good snorkeling close by.

Coconut Cay Resort and Marina is a Bahamian style resort on the gulf side of Marathon. There are several rooms options. Some have full kitchens all in one room with the beds, and others have the sleeping rooms separate from the kitchen. There are less expensive rooms without kitchens. If you have a large group, Coconut Cay Resort offers a 3 bedroom house for rent. Amenities include a pool, boat ramp, kayak and boat rentals.

Key Colony Beach Hotels
A beautiful community within the Marathon area is Key Colony Beach. The city of Key Colony Beach was incorporated in 1957 and is set out on an island facing the Atlantic Ocean. At Mile Marker 53.5, you’ll drive over the Sadowski Causeway to get to Key Colony Beach. There is a golf course and tennis club, miles and miles of paved paths for bike riding and jogging, and endless choice of hotels, condos and rentals on beautiful white sandy beaches.
Continental Inn in Key Colony Beach offers economy priced, small resort apartment style rentals right on the Atlantic Ocean. The entire island has bike paths which you can ride along. Next door to Continental Inn is Sunset Park beach. All rooms are under $200 per night including the two bedroom apartments. During off peak season (September 1 through December 21) you can get one bedrooms for $95 per night.
