Lake Eola with downtown Orlando in the background
The path around Lake Eola is exactly .9 miles. Many walkers and runners use the path for exercise and the great scenery makes it almost therapeutic. The lake is surrounded by trees and there are beautiful flowers on the northeast corner.
There is also a Panera Bread restaurant on that same corner where you can get a good coffee, breakfast, lunch or dinner.
To get out on the lake you can rent a swan paddle boat for about $12 for a half hour or an electric boat (if you don’t want to do any work) for about $15 for a half hour.
