Crescent Beach has sand dunes and you can park right on the beach
Crescent Beach is located on beautiful Anastasia Island just three miles south of St. Augustine Beach on Highway A1A. Large sand dunes protect the beach and preserve the natural environment.
There are several access points to the beach.
Crescent Beach is unique compared to many beaches in Florida because you are allowed to drive your car on the beach. There are designated lanes for cars and all traffic flows to the south. The cost per car for beach access is $6 per day.
Crescent Beach is a nice wide beach, thus the cars are usually not an impediment in any way. Only at high tide does it become a little bit crowded with cars and beachcombers.
The Police patrol Crescent Beach regularly on ATV’s and trucks. The patrol is mainly for enforcing the 10 MPH speed limit and the no alcohol rule.
