Comments about: Chapman School of Seamanship

Hello.  I have just moved to Palm City with my wife and two children.  I am hoping to purchase a small family boat and have no experience of handling one.  Can you let me know the costs for the beginners course (recreational boaters course) as described above?
I look forward to hearing from you.

Answer from Chapman Below:

We offer several programs that would train your family in both safe boating and boat handling. We offer 2 weekend programs CPC 100 and CPC 200. In addition, we offer a week long CPC1000.

CPC 100 is Our Boating Essentials training and has 8 hours of classroom training with 4 hours of on the water practice. With successful completion of this training you would receive a NASBLA Boating Safety Identification Card and a Chapman Certification. The cost is $350.

CPC 200 is 12 hours of underway instruction (boat handling). The cost for this is $595.

The CPC 1000 is a 5 day program that includes all of the above training in addition to navigation and electronics. There are 18 hours of classroom time and 12 hours on the water. This is $995.00.
