There are two Indian Lagoon scenic highways our focus is on Indian River Drive (highway 707) - an official Florida Scenic Highway that runs from Jensen Beach in the south along the Indian River Lagoon into downtown Fort Pierce in the north.

Fort Pierce Inlet

The Fort Pierce Inlet is a wide are relatively safe inlet to navigate. There is excellent fishing along the jetty, which is very long and has lots of room for fishermen. 

Depending on the conditions you can catch a wide variety of fish from Snook and Redfish to Tarpon, Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, and Trout.
