The Sea Camp on Big Pine Key engages campers in marine science by studying America’s only living coral reef and its inhabitants in the Florida Keys.
Since 1966, Seacamp has opened up the world of marine science exploration and SCUBA diving to teens ages 12 to 17 from all over the world.

Camp Type: Sleepaway Camp
Located on Big Pine Key in the lower half of the beautiful Florida Keys, Sea Camp is nestled between the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean. It offers access to unique underwater environments where campers study spectacular sponge flats, diverse seagrass beds, unique coral and algae shoals and the amazing coral reef located at Looe Key National Marine Sanctuary.
Summer campers create their own schedule of activities while at camp and choose from over 24 marine science programs, scuba diving, scuba certifications, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, arts and crafts and more. The camper to staff ratio is 3:1. Sea Camp is accredited by the American Camp Association.
Age Range: Ages 12 to 17 years old.
2011 Pricing: The camp fee for summer 2011 is $3775. There is an additional fee of $425 for participation in the SCUBA program.
Camp Dates:
Sea Camp offers three 18 day sessions each summer.
Session 1: June 24-July 11
Session 2: July 14-July 31
Session 3: August 3-20
Camp Staff: The Sea Camp staff includes individual program directors, Marine Science instructors, nationally certified SCUBA instructors and Red Cross certified water safety instructors, and assistants for each program area.
