Learn how to create and build video games, make digital movies, and build robots using the latest computer software and technology. The iD Tech Camp at Rollins College in Winter Park Florida offers day camp and sleep away weekly summer camps from June 11 - July 27, 2012.
Camp Type: Day Camp or Sleepaway Camp
Located in the Orlando Area, the iD Tech Summer Camps are for beginner to advanced students ages 7-17. Campers have fun learning computer programming skills with industry grade software to make their own video games, websites with Flash, digital movies, C++ or Java programs, graphic art, robots, and 3D models.
The iD Tech Camps are offered at 60 prestigious universities nationwide including Stanford, MIT, Emory and others. In Florida, the iD Tech Camps are offered at Rollins College and University of Miami. There’s an average of six students per instructor so students receive personalized instruction from fun, tech-savvy staff while completing a project by the end of the week.
Camp Dates: Weekly camp dates are offered throughout the summer from June 10 to July 27, 2012. Classes do fill up so early registration is important. The day camp is from 9 am to 5 pm. There is extended Day Camp available with hours from 7:30 am to 7 pm.
2012 Pricing: Base tuition for The iD Tech summer camp is $799 - $899 (9 am to 5 pm.) Extended day (7:30 am to 7 pm) and resident camp (Sunday through Friday, ages 10 -17) is available, check website for additional fees.
Camp Staff: The camp staff come from varied backgrounds of educational leadership, teachers, game designers, computer programmers, film producers, and technology experts.
