FSU String Orchestra Summer Camp

The Florida State University College of Music offers the String Orchestra Camp in June and July.  The FSU String Orchestra Band Camp offers summer campers the opportunity to study with some of the nation’s top orchestra conductors as well as study music theory and techniques. Rehearsals and small ensembles are performed daily.   


Camp Type: Day Camp or Sleepaway Camp

Age Range: Students attending grades 7-12 in the 2011 - 2012 school year.   

Camp Dates: June 24 - July 7, 2012.

2012 Pricing:
Cost for Day Campers is $410
Cost for Overnight Campers is $801 (includes housing and meals)

Camp Staff: Coordinated by Ensemble Conductors, Dr. Rebecca MacLeod, Assistant Professor of Music Education, UNC Greensboro,  Mr. Jim Palmer, Altoona High School, Kennesaw GA,Mr David Pope, FSU, Mr. Matt Davis, Dir. of Strings, Harrison Center for the Visual and Performing Arts, FL, and Mrs. Sarah Morrison, Director of Strings, Rochelle School of the Arts, FL.
