CAMP CLOSED IN 2011Florida Lions Camp has been around since 1974 and is considered a leading facility for special needs children and adults in the United States. Traditional activities are adapted to individual needs and include swimming, hiking, canoeing, cooking, arts and crafts, challenge courses, and more.
Camp Type: Sleepaway Camp
Age Range: Ags 5 years old and up.
Camp Price: $500 each week.
Camp Dates: One week sessions (Sunday to Friday) beginning June 14, 2010 through August 20, 2010 (closed the week of July 4-09).
Camp Activities: Traditional summer camp activities for youth and adults with visual impairments and other challenging disabilities.
Camp Staff: The screened applicants from around the globe are united for the mutual purpose of providing social interaction and camping experiences for all youth, regardless of ability. Many of the staff members return yearly or work in many of the other “Lions” camps throughout the country.
