Learn about dolphins while interacting directly with a colony of bottlenose dolphins in their natural habitat at the Dolphin Research Center in Grassy Key Florida.  The Florida Summer Camps helps campers learn and appreciate the marine mammals and the environment we share.

Camp Type: Sleepaway Camp

2012 Pricing:
$1,500 for 1 week of Dolphin Camp, Teen Basic Dolphin Lab, or Teen Intermediate Dolphin Lab (prices includes dormitory room and food.)

$1,700 for 1 week of Teen Marine Mammal Care and Basic Training (price includes dormitory room and food.)

Camp Dates: 
Dolphin Camp (ages 10 - 12):  June 23 – June 29
Dolphin Camp (ages 10 - 12):  June 30 - July 6
Dolphin Camp (ages 13 - 14):  July 7 - July 13
Dolphin Camp (ages 13 – 14):  July 14 – July 20

Teen Basic Dolphin Lab (ages 15 – 17): July 21 - July 27
Teen Basic Dolphin Lab (ages 15 – 17): July 28 – Aug 3
Teen Intermediate Dolphin Lab (ages 15 – 17): August 4 – August 10
Teen Marine Mammal Care and Basic Training (ages 15 – 17): August 11 – August 17

Notes: 
The Teen Basic Dolphin Lab course is fully college accredited through the Florida Keys Community College for an additional fee (you can earn 3 college credits.)

Adult courses are also available.

Camp Staff:  The Dolphin Research Center’s camp director has a Masters of Science degree in Marine Mammal Science.  All other camp staff have college degrees in Psychology, Biology or Marine Science.
