A week long camp for girls that love horses. Summer campers go for daily rides, brush and clean horses as well as enjoy many outdoor activities including swimming.
Camp Type: Day Camp or Sleepaway Camp
The sleep away camp takes a maximum of 8 girls each week for ages 9 to 14 years old. The sleep away camp begins Sunday at 4 pm and ends Saturday between 10 am and 11 am. Each session will have openings for two day-campers 8:30 am - 6:00 pm.
Camp Activities: From beginner to low jumping experience, CH Horse Camp helps all campers improve their riding skills. There are English riding lessons in the morning and Western riding in the afternoons. At the end of the week, the campers will have a show for the parents.
Camp Dates: The camps run weekly from June 3 - August 11, 2012. The sleep away sessions sell out fast with only 8 girls accepted weekly. There 2 spaces each week for day-campers.
2012 Pricing: Sleep away camp is $ 700.00 per week. Day camp is $275.00 per week.
Camp Staff: Jan Fessler, owner and director, is a retired elementary school teacher (30 years) and taught CIT at Girl Scout camps for 20 years. Amy Griffing is the horse manager, beginning-lower intermediate instructor, and western instructor. Karen Agostinelli began riding at age 7, competing on and off since age 9 and has received champion and reserve champion awards for level 3 and 4 jumpers.
