Camp Illahaw is a week long overnight Horse and Adventure Camp on a 4700 acre wildlife conservation in St Cloud Florida. There are many diverse activities for the campers to enjoy while also learning to work on a real-life working cattle ranch.
Camp Type: Sleepaway Camp
Age Range: Ages 10 to 15 years old.
2012 Pricing: $475 per camper per session.
Camp Dates: Weekly June 10 thru August 4, 2012.
Camp Illahaw Activities
The adventure camp has numerous activities included in its camp along with some extra activities that require an extra fee to cover costs associated with specific activities.
Activities with no extra camp fee are: Archery, Target Shooting, Cattlemen Heritage Tools, Swamp Treking, Creative Expressions Arts Camp, Creative Drama Camp, Trail Biking, Horseback Trail Rides, Arena Skills, Arena Games, Field Sports, Barn Work, Nature and Animal Lore, Mud Pit Games, Kayaking, Low Ropes, and Myth Breaking that brings the science and fun of the popular TV series to camp.
Activities that include an added fee are Camper vs Wild Outdoor Survival ($35), Cattle Round Up ($35), Paintball ($50), NEW Shooting Extreme ($25), and Zipline Safari ($85.)
Camp Staff: All staff members undergo background and drug screenings before they are hired. Staff is a diverse group coming from different backgrounds and parts of the world. Each camp counselor that spend the majority of the time with the campers are mostly college students looking for summer jobs.
